Five organizations that are led by and serve Washington's Black/African American, African Immigrant, and American Indian/Alaska Native communities received Birth Equity Project funding to improve birth outcomes in their communities. Funds will support the provision of culturally responsive birthing services and help reduce the high infant and maternal mortality rates within these communities.
