Consultant sought to assist with creation of Health Equity Zones

Please share this exciting opportunity with your networks! The state Department of Health is seeking a contract consultant to support the efforts of the Health Equity Zones Initiative (Senate Bill 5052). The bill created an important foundation for DOH to support communities in addressing the health inequities they want to prioritize. The Initiative will use a community-driven process, storytelling, and public health data to inform the selection of up to three Health Equity Zones, which will receive ongoing technical assistance to implement projects to improve health in their communities.

We’re inviting contractors experienced in community-driven processes to submit a bid to be the consultant. One individual or organization will be selected. The consultant will facilitate the Community Advisory Council, including the selection of the Health Equity Zones, and support the formation of community collaboratives in each of the selected Health Equity Zones. The full RFP is available online and bids must be submitted by May 11 at 3 p.m.
