The resources included in the Portal are selected with the goal of providing relevant and useful materials for small- and medium-sized primary care and behavioral health sites in Washington State. We refer to the process of selecting these resources as curation because of the importance we place on getting the right materials to the right people.
These resources are initially identified by members of our curation working group, advisory group, or staff. An initial review by the leadership team is carried out to be sure that the potential resource fits into one of our areas of need. It is then included with other potential resources for review by working group members. A list of materials is then sent out to members of the curation group, who review the materials and provide feedback electronically using the Resource Evaluation Tool (RET) developed for this purpose.
