DOH seeks Community Advisory Council reps for Health Equity Zones

The state Department of Health (DOH) invites applications and nominations to fill community representative seats on the Community Advisory Council for the Health Equity Zones initiative. Please consider sharing the following with community partners who may be interested in joining the new Health Equity Zones Community Advisory Council:

The Health Equity Zones initiative is seeking applications and nominations for community representatives on the Community Advisory Council. The council will convene and establish the Health Equity Zones initiative to help address health disparities in communities across the state and serve a key role in ensuring efforts are community-centered and health equity-driven, with focused attention given to communities experiencing the greatest health inequities. Council members will also help identify and shape stories that provide insight on the health inequities facing communities in Washington, and the public health data that document how these groups are disproportionately impacted.

Applications and nominations for community representative seats are due Monday, November 22. For more information on the Health Equity Zones initiative and to submit an application or nominate someone to the Health Equity Zones Community Advisory Council, visit the Health Equity Zones webpage on the DOH website.
