Action Development Project - 2024
Following the 2023 Maternal Mortality Review Panel (MMRP) Report to the Legislature, the MAW project reached out to regional and community partner groups for actionable recommendations. Feedback on the report findings included ideas for reducing risks and preventing maternal mortality in communities directly affected by these outcomes.In-person convenings were held in three corners of the state: Northwest (Port Angeles), Northeast (Colville), and Southeast (Richland) from July through September 2024. 2023 listening sessions
The 2023 MMRP Across Washington listening sessions were a series of regional meetings in Washington State. Staff from local host sites, along with University of Washington Family Medicine and Washington Department of Health presenters convened two-hour discussions with community members providing information and --most powerfully-- listening to the voices of communities most impacted by maternal mortality.
