Local Board of Health Membership Rule Modification

The Washington State Board of Health (WSBOH) recently announced it is considering modifying the appointment process for non-elected members of local boards of health as required by Engrossed Second Substitute House Bill 1152 (E2SHB 1152). This would include expanding the local board of health membership to include an equal number of elected and non-elected persons to ensure balance of members with diversity of expertise and lived experience.
