More than half of public health workers have at least one mental health condition
CDC just released a Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) on the prevalence of mental health conditions in state, tribal, local, and territorial public health workers.
Fifty-three percent of public health workers surveyed reported at least one mental health condition in the past two weeks. The report is a critical first step as we build awareness and workplace cultures that “promote wellness and destigmatize requests for mental health assistance.” Read the MMWR report.
