EPA wildfire smoke course for health care professionals and clinical or health educators
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) offers a self-guided Wildfire Smoke Course that is intended for physicians, registered nurses, asthma educators, and others involved in clinical or health education. The course takes about 45 minutes to complete. After completing the course, attendees will be able to:
- Identify why wildfire smoke exposure is a public health and clinical concern
- Identify groups at greater risk, and share strategies patients can take to reduce exposure
- Gain an understanding of the health effects associated with wildfire smoke, and more
