DOH offers free radon test kits for Washingtonians
DOH’s Radon Program just launched a program to provide free radon test kits to Washington residents. Homeowners, renters, and landlords can request a free test kit (request form available in English, Spanish, Russian, and Vietnamese). Quantities are limited.
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that forms from the breakdown of rock, and it can become trapped in our homes. Radon can be deadly and is the second leading cause of lung cancer behind smoking.
