DOH makes $80 million available in water infrastructure loans
Washington’s aging drinking water infrastructure is very expensive to replace or repair. The Drinking Water State Revolving Fund provides loans to drinking water systems to pay for infrastructure improvements. DOH’s loan program is a vital tool for ensuring safe and reliable drinking water and helps utilities perform needed upgrades they couldn’t otherwise afford.
DOH is excited to make $80 million available with up to $8 million per jurisdiction. Projects must address a public health risk, resiliency, consolidation, or upgrade failing facilities.
Communities may apply through the Construction and Loan Funding Program October 1 - November 30, 2021. A fact sheet, program guidelines, applications, and information on upcoming educational webinars are available on the DWSRF webpage.
