Deadline Nov. 15 to apply for healthy aging mini-grant
Local health jurisdictions and tribal health programs or clinics working to enhance healthy aging efforts in their communities may be eligible for grants up to $10,000. The state Department of Health (DOH) and Trust for America’s Health (TFAH) are providing the grants.
- Mini-grant details can be found in the program flyer and TFAH’s framework for Creating an Age-Friendly Public Health System.
- Applications to apply: LHJ application and tribal health organization application.
Request an Older Adult County Profile to assist with your application preparation: DOH is offering Older Adult Health County Profiles to local and tribal partners across the state for free.
- Profile examples: Spokane and Grays Harbor
- These county-level profiles use valuable Medicare data to build profiles on a range of older adult-related health topics for each of Washington’s counties, including population growth rates, chronic conditions, adverse events, key subpopulations, and ways to use the data.
For grant details or to request an Older Adult Health County Profile, email DOH’s Healthy Aging Initiatives Director Marci Getz.
