Implementation of notifiable conditions rule extended to 2023
Last week, the State Board of Health extended the date for DOH’s implementation of notifiable conditions rule changes to January 1, 2023. It was originally slated to take effect January 31, 2022.
The notifiable conditions rule outlines requirements for information health care providers, health care facilities, laboratories, and other entities must report to the state to protect the public's health by tracking communicable diseases and other conditions.
DOH is working to update the timeline for implementation and will coordinate with the Board to provide information, guidance documents, updated forms, and training as it becomes available.
