Join the Smile Survey to check on oral health of kids in your communities

Is your local health jurisdiction interested in joining the upcoming statewide 2023 Smile Survey? If so, resources may be available to support your county-level survey efforts.

Every five to seven years, DOH conducts the Smile Survey to assess the oral health status and treatment needs of children in Washington. Given the limited sample size, the statewide survey does not provide county estimates. To get county-specific information, in the past many local health jurisdictions and counties did Smile Surveys in their counties at the same time. Results provide useful information to support the development of programs and policies.
