Power of Providers Initiative launches new resource page

The state Department of Health recently created a new resource page for Power of Providers members. The Power of Providers (POP) Initiative is made up of more than 70,000 providers across the state of Washington who commit to encouraging COVID-19 vaccination and working to reduce COVID-19 transmission, severe illness, and death.

The page was developed with COVID-19 vaccine providers’ needs in mind, and the goal of helping them educate patients. There are links to provider discussion guides and fact sheets to help providers feel confident when talking about COVID-19 vaccination with patients and address hard-to-answer questions, clinical information such as standing orders and storage and handling requirements, and training videos. We also have patient-focused materials such as infographics and handouts that can be printed, shared online, or emailed. There is something on the site for every provider.

Consider sharing the new POP Initiative page with your network and encourage them to join POP as well. And remember to bookmark it and check back regularly for updates.

In addition to our resource hub for Power of Provider members, we also created a new page that talks about the Power of Providers Initiative and defines our vision and mission. The powerful statements on the page affirms the important work enrolled providers are doing and our appreciation for POP members.

If you have any feedback or suggestions to improve the page, email powerofproviders@doh.wa.gov.
