Pfizer and Moderna bivalent booster vaccines now available

Omicron variant-targeted bivalent booster doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines are now available following authorization by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunizations Practices, and the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup.

DOH’s COVID vaccine booster dose guidance page is updated with eligibility information, recommendations, and FAQs.

Updated standing orders will be available in coming days and will be posted on DOH’s Clinical Information for COVID-19 Vaccine Providers page.
