DOH can help you apply for Birth Equity Project funding

Apply now for DOH Birth Equity Project funding. This project seeks to reduce the racism faced by birth workers and birthing families in our state. DOH will invest in community-based birth worker organizations that are led by and reflect the communities they serve.

Washington-based organizations working to improve healthy births and expand access to resources for birthing families are invited to apply.

Priority communities for Birth Equity Project funds:

  • American Indian/Alaska Native, regardless of tribal affiliation
  • African Immigrants
  • Black/African American (Descendants of Enslaved Africans living in the United States)
  • Pacific Islander

Apply by December 19

We are accepting applications until Monday, December 19, 8:00 a.m., and expect to announce grantees by early 2023. You can find the Request for Application (fillable PDF and WORD), program budget, and scoring rubric on the Birth Equity Project Funding website.
