Childhood immunization campaign encouraging families to catch up on vaccinations starts March 15
A DOH childhood immunization campaign starts March 15 with digital and radio advertising and includes a campaign toolkit to support your own outreach. In May, we will mail letters to families with children ages five to six that are behind on vaccinations. We are emphasizing scheduling childhood wellness visits and vaccinations.
As part of this campaign, we created a Childhood Vaccine Campaign Toolkit page to support you and your partner’s outreach, including health care providers, and school and child care staff. The toolkit has materials in English and Spanish, and includes:
- Posters encouraging vaccination and wellness visits
- A sample parent letter encouraging immunizations
- A backpack stuffer for families
- A variety of social media graphics with and without text
- Sample newsletter articles
- Immunization resources
- Campaign talking points
We know health care providers are continuing to see high demand for appointments, and we appreciate your efforts in supporting childhood vaccination.
If you have any questions or comments, email DOH-PIO@doh.wa.gov.
