Share messaging to help prevent underage drinking
The state Health Care Authority is working to prevent underage drinking among high school teens and inspire them to keep alcohol out of the picture through the Focus On campaign.
The campaign spotlights positive social norms, offers information about the risks and consequences of underage drinking in ways that are relevant for youth, outlines refusal skills, and encourages teens to choose healthy ways to deal with stress, anxiety, and boredom.
Ways to help promote the campaign:
- Share Facebook, Instagram posts, and the link to FocusOnYouWA.org on your organization's website and social media channels. You will find text, images, and videos for you to share on channels that reach youth.
- Prepare your staff to talk about the Focus On campaign and provide the facts. You can find talking points and a background document to download so you can share with your staff.
To access the toolkit, you’ll be prompted to enter the password: FocusOnYou. For more information contact prevention@hca.wa.gov.
