See who's working on environmental justice in Washington
You're welcome to attend a weekly DOH Environmental Justice Speaker Series, Wednesdays April 19 through May 24. Join us for discussions and presentations with people doing amazing environmental justice work across the state. These sessions are free and open to the public.
Session themes and speakers
- May 10, 12 to 1:30 p.m. | Youth Perspectives on Climate and Environmental Justice with Young Women Empowered (Y-WE)'s Y-WE Grow program.
- May 17, 12 to 1:30 p.m. | HEAL, Justice40, and Policy Strategies to Address Environmental Justice | Staff from HEAL Act implementing agencies and staff and Councilmembers from the Environmental Justice Council.
- May 24, 12 to 1:30 p.m. | The Role of Community-Based Participatory Research in Achieving Environmental Justice and Reducing Environmental Health Disparities| Dr. Anjum Hajat from the University of Washington Dept. of Epidemiology and partners from the Duwamish River Community Coalition.
