Whitman County built trust in public health among rural communities; webinar will show how they did it
After witnessing a measurable drop in community trust of public health, government, and science, a rural health department decided to implement a series of trust-building activities within their community. The webinar, Building Trust in Public Health for Rural Communities, will explore the various strategies that Whitman County Public Health implemented to ensure their local community has confidence in the services they provide.
Registration is open for the webinar, which is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. on July 25. ‘Building Trust in Public Health for Rural Communities,’ features Whitman County Public Health Deputy Director Corrin McMichael, who will explore the methods her team uses to build trusting relationships within their community.
This webinar is part of the UW Northwest Center for Public Health Practice Hot Topic series. If you missed previous webinars in the series, you can find slides and resources on the Hot Topics in Practice webpage.
