Fascinated by wastewater? Make a splash and apply to join our Technical Advisory Committee

DOH Wastewater Management Section is now accepting applications for open seats on our Technical Advisory Committee. The term is January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2027. Applications are due October 31, 2023.

DOH will review applications, select qualified applicants for the current advisory committee to vote on, and approve/appoint selected candidates. Selected candidates will be notified December 1, 2023.

The advisory committee is comprised of representatives from different sectors of the onsite industry. The following categories are up for election:

• Academic/Researcher
• Regulators from local health jurisdictions:
  • Eastern Washington Environmental Health Director
  • Eastern Washington Field Staff
  • Western Washington Environmental Health Director
  • Western Washington Field Staff

The time commitment for this position varies depending on the workload but would typically fall between three and 15 hours per quarter. The Technical Advisory Committee plans to meet at least once a quarter, with a break during the summer.
