Supporting accessible, timely, and high-quality rural health care in Washington

From wide‑open farmlands to coastal fishing towns, rural communities are an essential part of Washington. The Washington State Office of Rural Health (WA‑SORH) partners with Critical Access Hospitals, rural hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, providers, and community organizations to help ensure that everyone can access timely, high‑quality care close to home.

We strengthen rural health systems by connecting people and resources, offering technical assistance, and providing learning opportunities that support effective and strong health care systems. Our work focuses on making it easier for people to receive the care they need in the communities where they live, work, and play, supported by their family, neighbors, and local networks.

WA‑SORH is dedicated to supporting timely, high-quality, and sustainable rural health care systems across Washington.
