Who should get involved in this work?

The CAPOW Statewide Coalition is a thriving partnership of more than 200 individuals and 50 organizations across Washington state. Members include non-profits, health care facilities, local health jurisdictions, native and Tribal leaders, cancer registries, cancer centers, research institutions, academic institutions, health care providers, community health workers, cancer survivors, and more.

Anyone who is working in cancer control is invited to participate in any of our working groups. In order to prevent the burden of cancer on Washington residents it takes leaders like you. Consider joining our network to connect with other passionate change makers around the state of Washington and beyond.

What is the purpose of this partnership?

In October 2024, the CAPOW Coalition finalized a 5-year cancer plan for 2025-2030. Together, we work toward aligning the cancer plan initiatives with community priorities to reduce the burden of cancer in our state.

The CAPOW Coalition has eight workgroups, and each group is working on implementing evidence-based interventions with key projects.
