Western Washington: Community Action Coalition (CAC)

The Community Action Coalition (CAC) began in 2012 and has been a consistent space for community-based organizations working together to improve cancer health outcomes and health access for residents in Western Washington.

CAC is facilitated by The Fred Hutch/University of Washington/Seattle Children’s Cancer Consortium’s (Consortium) Office of Community Outreach and Engagement (OCOE), based in Seattle. 

Members provide insight from their lived experiences and organizational roles to facilitate understanding of community-specific cancer prevention and control needs. As a group, CAC highlights community feedback and priorities, shares resources, collaborates on projects to support sustainable health and cancer care programs, and builds capacity for community-driven research collaborations.

We meet quarterly, with meetings on Zoom or in-person.
