Vaccine Map Makes Finding Free Vaccines Easier for Residents

The Washington State Department of Health has unveiled the latest version of its interactive vaccine map, updated as of February 2025. This tool is designed to help WA residents locate providers offering free vaccines under two key programs: the Adult Vaccine Program and the Childhood Vaccine Program.

Adult Vaccine Program

The Adult Vaccine Program (AVP) provides free vaccines to uninsured adults aged 19 and older. The selection of vaccines available changes annually and is funded through federal resources. Participating facilities and providers ensure that eligible residents have access to essential immunizations at no cost.

Childhood Vaccine Program

The Childhood Vaccine Program (CVP) offers routine immunizations recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices to children under 19 years old. These vaccines are funded through a combination of federal and state resources, as well as contributions from health plans and insurance companies. Providers across the state ensure that all children, regardless of financial status, can receive these vital vaccines.

How to Use the Vaccine Map

The interactive map makes it easy for adults seeking immunizations or parents looking for vaccines for their child to find the nearest providers participating in AVP and CVP programs, simplifying the process of accessing free healthcare.

To find a provider, select the desired map layer (child, adult, or child and adult) and enter the name, address, or Provider Identification Number (PIN) of a provider in the search bar located at the upper right corner of the map. As you type, a list of possible matches will show below the search bar. Tap on a suggestion to zoom to its location on the map.
