Stroke Month resources to share
May is Stroke Month and we want to share some campaign resources you and your partners can use. Visit the Cardiovascular Connection page on WAPortal.org to find links to social media images, videos, activities, recipes, and more to help us all reduce our risk of a stroke.
We also wanted to call out a few multimedia resources:
- Signs and symptoms of a heart attack and stroke - A DOH webpage with information on the signs of a stroke and heart attack in more than 30 languages.
- Get Down With Your Blood Pressure - This high-energy campaign from Ad Council, the American Heart Association, and the American Medical Association has videos, radio ads, print ads and more in Spanish and English. The ads feature a diverse group of dancers to upbeat original music. The campaign is meant for a general audience.
- Live to the Beat - This campaign aims to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease among black adults ages 35 to 54. Share videos and tips on how to move more, eat healthy, and manage your health.
Is there another resource you are using to promote cardiovascular health in May? Let us know so we can consider adding it to the webpage. You can email us at heartdisease@doh.wa.gov.
