Expiration dates extended for self-tests provided by Say Yes! COVID Test program

Some of the self-tests people may receive through Washington’s Say Yes! COVID Test program have a printed expiration date that is no longer accurate. When the date was printed on the box, the tests were only authorized for a six-month shelf life. However, the FDA has extended the expiration date an additional three months. That means boxes with printed expirations dates of June or July are still good until September or October.

If you receive questions about expired tests received through the Say Yes! COVID Test program, direct people to the manufacturer’s website, iHealth Labs, to look up their tests by lot number.
