How to offer the Aging Mastery Program in your community

The Washington State Aging Mastery Program ® is an evidence-informed program that can be customized to meet the unique needs of your community. 


What type of organizations are eligible

Any type of organization that serves older adults can be licensed to offer the Aging Mastery Program ® (AMP). Participants ages 50 and up have found the AMP program valuable and enjoyable. 

Types of organizations that most commonly offer AMP include:

  • Senior Centers
  • Community Centers
  • Libraries
  • Health facilities (hospitals and clinics)
  • Senior housing facilities

How to apply to become an Licensed Site

Organizations that offer the Aging Mastery Program ® are required to apply for a License through the National Council on Aging. Scholarship can be applied for to cover the licensing cost for new organizations. Licensing includes online training for organization staff and an array of implementation resources.


Funding your program

Most AMP sites rely on a combination of local funding (public, not-profit or private) and participate fees to cover the cost of running an AMP program.
