Creating solutions together - local and regional strategies to reduce maternal mortality

Bringing to the community the findings of the MMRP 2023 Report to the Legislature.

Through a regionally / locally-based community partner group input was provided to the Washington State Department of Health on actions to reduce risks and preventable mortality from the communities directly affected by these outcomes.

The Maternal Mortality Review Panel, MMRP, Across Washington project was a series of regional meetings in Washington State. Staff from local host sites, along with University of Washington Family Medicine and Washington Department of Health presenters convened 2-hour discussions with community members - providing information and, most powerfully, listening to the voices of communities most impacted by maternal mortality.


Who should attend?

Any representatives from community-based organizations, coalitions, patient advocates, and those with lived experience, in addition to community-based maternal child health providers.
