Need to discuss COVID-19 vaccine with reluctant patients? Webinar to offer strategies

Join an expert panel of physicians on August 26, noon to 1 p.m. PT for a free webinar to learn effective strategies to engage patients in conversations about the COVID-19 vaccine by addressing their questions, fears, and concerns. Physicians from communities with low vaccination rates will provide real world examples of how to discuss the pediatric and adult vaccines, as well as booster vaccines. Representatives from DOH will outline the key elements of Power of Providers (POP) and the resources included in the toolkit.

Power of Providers Initiative celebrates one-year anniversary with 71,000 peers

July 16 marked one year since the state launched the Power of Providers (POP) Initiative.

POP has grown to over 71,000 providers and 377 organizations represented across Washington state.

Providers have power to fight COVID-19 with support from DOH resources that educate patients and clients on the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines.

Key things to know as children ages 6 months+ now eligible for COVID-19 vaccine

On June 18, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup voted to recommend the COVID-19 vaccine for ages 6 months and up. This is a much-anticipated step in our state’s efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect our youngest population.
