Beginning Dec. 9, 2021, DOH will start using new race and ethnicity information received from laboratories conducting COVID-19 testing to enhance the race and ethnicity information on the COVID-19 Data Dashboard for cases, hospitalizations and deaths. This is a major improvement in Washington State COVID-19 information, and it will decrease the amount of missing race and ethnicity information on the DOH dashboard from about 50% to about 25%. DOH will continue to work towards improving the completeness of the race and ethnicity information on the DOH dashboard.
