A state report published found 60 percent of pregnancy-related deaths in Washington State were preventable. Now health professionals from across the state are using the Healthier Washington Collaboration Portal to respond to this issue and introducing a new way of thinking about care to address death by suicide and accidental opioid overdose during or shortly after pregnancy.

Jun 6, 2022The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) is now accepting applications for the School-Based Health Centers (SBHC) Behavioral Health Improvement grant. We will award up to nine $90,000 10-month grants to improve access to and quality of behavioral health care and services in SBHCs serving K-12 students in public schools, with a focus on communities and populations that have been historically underserved.

May 17, 2022Professionals from Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Indian Nations, urban Indian health programs, and recognized American Indian organizations will meet to explore ways to address the opioid crisis at the virtual 2022 Region 10 Opioid Summit on August 3 - 4, 2022.
The theme for 2022 is "We are the Foundation: Improving the Workforce Pillars for Opioid Prevention, Treatment, Recovery, and Intervention." Join the free summit for multiple breakout sessions focused around prevention, special interventions, treatment and recovery, as well as plenary sessions.
