Video teaches how to wade through COVID-19 vaccine misinformation and disinformation

The Department of Health has produced an animated video to help combat myths and misconceptions about COVID-19 vaccines.

This video helps to address ongoing misinformation and disinformation people receive from a variety of media sources about the COVID-19 vaccine and explores examples of why both are harmful.

Produced in partnership with communities across Washington, this new video aims to educate audiences about common types of false vaccine information found online, and offers helpful advice for how to verify sources, ask open-ended questions and consider the intent before deciding to share with friends and family.

Available soon in several additional languages, you can now immediately view and share the American Sign Language (ASL) English version, Arabic, Farsi, Tamil, Telugu, Thai. You can find these videos and more on the DOH YouTube channel.

You can share this video on social media, embed on immunization web pages, and distribute electronically to staff or volunteers. For more helpful tools and resources for addressing vaccine misinformation, visit DOH’s Building Confidence and Busting Myths page.
