Order pediatric COVID-19 vaccines starting June 9
The state Department of Health is actively working with national, regional, and local partners in anticipation of pediatric vaccine shipments for Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for children ages 6 months and older. DOH will submit preorders to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention between June 8 and June 14 for Depot Locations, Local Health Partners, and Tribal Partners.
COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 6 months to 5 years of age could be authorized, recommended, and available in Washington State as early as June 20, 2022. Provider ordering for these vaccines starts today.
COVID-19 Vaccine Providers may begin to place orders today, June 9, beginning at 2 p.m.
- Orders placed and approved between June 9 and June 13 at 12 p.m. will be sent to the CDC for fulfillment on June 13.
- Orders placed after 12 p.m. June 13 through Sunday June 19 will be held until EUA approval, anticipated Monday, June 20.
- Please note, orders will still be approved during the routine ordering window to ensure the quickest fulfillment timeline.
- Orders placed during the time period before EUA approval will begin arriving on June 21.
