DOH preparing for changes to Notifiable Conditions Rule
On March 2021 the State Board of Health (SBOH) revised the Notifiable Conditions Rule (Chapter 246-101 WAC). The state Department of Health (DOH) is preparing processes, resources, and partners, as the implementation date of that rule nears.
DOH is continually updating its webpage to include the new requirements of the chapter, clear instructions on how to submit notifications, and case and laboratory report forms for health care providers, health care facilities, and laboratories to use when submitting required information.
We continue to communicate with facilities and providers impacted by the rule change. We will also begin to reach out to you more frequently with updates, new and up-to-date resources and guidance, webinars and trainings, and other ways we can support you and your partners during this transition.
You can find out more about the changes to the state’s Notifiable Conditions Rule on the SBOH Notifiable Conditions page. For questions about the revised rule, email notifiableconditions@sboh.wa.gov.
