Here are the latest resources on responding to rabies

DOH’s Zoonotic and Vector-borne Disease Program released new and updated rabies resources for public health professionals, health care providers, and veterinarians. The resources are now available on our rabies website for providers, including general information, frequently asked questions, reporting and surveillance guidance, and more.

The updated materials offer guidance on a range of topics, including animal bites, finding bats indoors, and post-exposure prophylaxis administration. These updated resources will help local and tribal health partners navigate rabies prevention with healthcare providers, veterinarians, and community members at large.
